‘Rescue our Families’ Global Campaign in Australia

SYDNEY, October 18, 2002 (Falun Dafa Information Centre)— Australian Falun Dafa practitioners are joining a world-wide campaign designed to rescue the family members who are currently in detention in China for refusing to give up practising Falun Dafa. A similar campaign has yielded good results in Canada and the US where government representatives have secured the freedom of their citizens and their relatives. As the APEC summit is near, Australian Falun Gong practitioners have provided this list (please see below) to various Australian government representatives in the hope that they will urge our Prime Minister to do likewise when meeting with the PRC president Jiang Zemin. Australian Falun Gong Practitioner's Painting Show Held in Dallas City Hall

 

From October 9 to 10, 2002, Falun Gong practitioner's personal painting show was held in Dallas City Hall. The visitors not only enjoyed the beautiful painting but also became to know the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and were shocked at the facts. Try typing "Falun Gong" into your Internet search engine in China and you will not get far. What is now known as the "Great Firewall of China" comes into action and you get a notice saying: "This page cannot be displayed." Read Full Story

Falun Dafa Practitioners Zhao Dongmei and Zhang Zhongjie from Linfen City, Shanxi Province Tortured to Death

Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Dongmei, female, was a former employee of the Housing Reform Office in Linfen District, Shanxi Province. She went to Beijing to appeal in the middle of December 2000, and was illegally arrested and brought back to the Linfen City Detention Centre. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and was brutally force-fed by male prisoners, resulting in her death on December 27, 2000. Read Full Story
