The Beginning
Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder and teacher of Falun Dafa gave his first
public lecture in Changchun, Jilin province, China in May 1992. |

Mr. Li Hongzhi receives A Thank-you Letter from A
Foundation under the Ministry of Public Security of China. |
|
|
| December 1993
|
Oriental Health Expo, Beijing. Li Hongzhi honoured
with The Award for Advancing Boundary Science and Qigong Master
most Acclaimed by the Masses. |

1993 |
Master Li receives The Honour Certificate Conferred
by a Foundation under the Ministry of Public Security of China |

| NB. 1992 - 1994
|
The China Qigong Scientific Research society organised
all 53 of Mr. Li Hongzhi's Falun Gong workshops. About 20,000 people
attended Mr Li's lectures in person. The Chinese Government enthusiastically
endorsed the practice which improved people's health to the extent
that billions of yuan were being saved in health care costs. |

Falun first published in China
- A national best seller in China, 1996.
- Now available in over 30 different languages
(The character in the center is the "wan" character,
a symbol that has been used in many cultures for thousands of years
to denote good fortune.)

Falun Dafa develops abroad
Mr Li lectured in countries outside China, such as the United States,
Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Canada, and France. |

Movement that now embraces millions of people attracts suspicion

Guangming Daily, an official Chinese newspaper,
the mouthpiece of the State Council, publishes an article denouncing
Falun Gong. |

| July 24, 1996
|
Chinese News Publication Office issues a nationwide
circular banning the distribution of all Falun Gong publications
through official channels. |
