Australian Artist - Zhang Cuiying's Appeal for Falun Gong
Zhang Cuiying has loved painting ever since she was a child. Her art teacher discovered her gift for Chinese painting and introduced her to his teacher, a very famous elderly Chinese painter. At a young age, Zhang laid a solid foundation in the traditional use of Chinese ink and brush. In accordance with the ancient teachings: Zhang paints with great virtue and integrity and to think of others first. This is a natural progression for her paintings to be simple yet elegant, pure and divine. Whenever she uses the brush to paint at night, she couldn't help feeling a strong sense of inner peace and inspiration. Chinese painting is like silent music, which enables one to experience a journey that is rich with vitality.
Persecution Since her release from illegal detention in China, she has held numerous solo-painting exhibitions in Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Turkey, Spain, Canada, France, UK, USA, Japan, and many other countries, in order to tell the world of her eight month suffering simply for being truthful. Zhang was jailed for eight months for going to China to tell the government that “Falun Dafa is Good”. Many government officials and fellow artists highly commend her works and her courage.
